During his long teaching career, taught in four Lakeland schools: Wolcott-Mills, Parkside Elementary, Lakeland Intermediate School, and the High School.
Longest tenured coach in Lakeland baseball history, coaching 19 seasons from 1970 – 1988.
During that time, amassed four conference titles and five sectional championships.
His five sectionals are tied for the second most team sectional titles by any coach in any Lakeland sport.
Most wins in baseball program history with 242.
Retired in 2007 after over forty years as a Lakeland educator.
Lives in Wolcottville with his wife Judy. The couple have two children, Jodi and Jeff, and one granddaughter, Hailey.
