Lakeland wrestling standout with a career record of 71-17.
- Helped lead the Laker wrestling team to four straight team sectional titles from 1977-1980, and two regional titles in 1977 and 1980.
- As an individual wrestler, was a three-time conference champion, a three-time sectional champion, a two-time regional champion, and he qualified for semi-state three times, placing third his junior year and second his senior year.
- State qualifier in 1980.
- Amassed an undefeated record as a sophomore, junior, and senior, in dual meet competition.
- Made the News-Sun All-Area Team as a sophomore and junior, and earned Prep of the Year as a senior.
- Served as Lakeland High School’s assistant wrestling coach from 1981 to 1985 and head wrestling coach in 2002 and again in 2004.
- In addition to his wrestling success, Kirby also pitched for Lakeland’s 1979 Sectional Championship baseball team.
- Currently lives in Howe, IN with his wife, Kelli.
- His son Dustin Glick, an attorney with Eberhard, Weimer and Glick, lives in Wolcottville with his wife, Kaitlyn.
- His daughter, Lynn, lives in Kalamazoo with her husband, Derek, and their two sons.
